Dear All, These are notes from our meeting of 8 December 2014. PUBLICITY Katie from Havering Council has produced some cycling videos (with our help) to post on the council's web site including how to do a safety M-check, what to wear to be seen and some simple road manoeuvres. EVENTS We will be supporting International Women's Day in March at Havering College. Meanwhile, need to do a stock check on our leaflets and order what we need for the new year. We have been looking at buying a cargo bike which we can have signwritten and use for events but we are trying to think of the best storage arrangements. READER APPEAL: If anybody has a secure dry space for a cargo bike and would be able to store it (and have use of it between events) please get in touch. BRANDED CLOTHING While we have LCC and Sustrans tee-shirts, we have no branded clothing for the colder months which greatly reduces the impact of our efforts. Ray and Terry will investigate options. CROW LANE TRAFFIC CALMING Work has begun on installing the traffic calming measures in Crow Lane, Romford. NEXT CLG The next CLG meeting is on Monday 12 January (our next campaign meeting is that evening) MARK-IT The December Mark-it event was not supported due to illness. We expect to be at the January event as usual. HAVERING COUNCIL'S CYCLING NEWSLETTER The council are now producing a cycling newsletter going out to known interested parties. If you don't see them already, you can subscribe here: https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/UKLBH/subscriber/new?topic_id=UKLBH_35a If you have any ideas for articles to contribute, please get in touch. Date Of Next Meeting is planned for MONDAY 12 January at JJ Moons PH in High Street Hornchurch. As always, see the web site at www.haveringcyclists.org for the latest news. Please feel free to add or correct my notes as appropriate. Regards Terry
