Dear Colleagues,

Some notes from our meeting yesterday evening.

MARK-IT EVENT
The Mark-It event on May 5th in Romford Market went well. Jeff had the A5 flyer with our details printed and these were distributed. The next event is on Friday 25th May at Queens Hospital and the one after that is on Saturday 1st June in Romford Market.

BIG RIDE
The Big Ride on 28th Apr. went well despite the rain. A press release was sent to the Romford Recorder and the YA. We now know their deadline for recieving news stories is Wednesday.

CLG
Possible improvements to Roneo Corner were discussed and our view is that we should press for the North-South route to be using the link to South Street and the East-West should be on shared use path in the southern side of Hornchurch Road - both using Toucan Crossings. This will be fed back to the CLG.
Our list of roads for 20 MPH Limits was submitted to Amandeep but nothing is planned to happen until 2013.
The Romford Ring Road was not discussed at the CLG.
Improvement areas for Romford were identified as an improved crossing at St Andrews Road, a solution to the routes through and across South Street near Romford Station and for improved signage.
The Havering Skyride is on the agenda for 2013.
On the Ingrebourne Valley Route, Philip will take up the point about logos replacing the cycle lanes to say that they need to be large enough and placed to encourage drivers to allow a fair share of the road to cyclists.

BIKE WEEK
Ray is to contact Amandeep and offer our help for the event(s) in June. There are also to be two historic rides in September.

PROPOSED ROUNDABOUTS ON MAIN ROAD
Philip and Dave Gould will bring up at the next CLG.

A12 
Andrew had raised the dangerous crossing of the A12 with TfL. Also, the NO CYCLING signs are missing from one entrance to the flyover.
Ray will chase up the response from the CLG.
