Havering Cyclists has helped to organise a hustings meeting to give the leaders of each of the parties standing in the local elections the opportunity to state their positions on environmental issues (including cycling facilities provision).
The format for the evening will be:
· Five set questions will be read out by the Chair to the Panel Members in turn
· Each question will be answered by the panel members before moving to the next question
· When the Question-and-Answer session is complete, there will be an opportunity before the close, for further environmental questions to be put to the panel, from the audience.
The meeting has been organised by Havering Climate Coalition which consists of Havering Friends of the Earth, Havering XR, Havering Quakers, Havering Green Streets and Havering Cyclists.
The event will take place at 7.15 pm on Tuesday, 17th March 2026 in The Large Hall, Fairkytes Arts Centre, 51 – 53 Billet Lane, Hornchurch RM11 1AX.
All Havering Cyclists members and friends will be most welcome to come along and show their support and to hear the views of those standing for election.
