Danger to Cyclists in Marsh Way

There has been shocking news this month that two cyclists were killed in near Marsh Way in Rainham in separate incidents within one week.

Our thoughts are very much with the loved ones of the two victims.

As you may be aware, Marsh Way leads South from National Cycle route 13 (along the A1306) connecting the A13 trunk road and a modern industrial estate which includes the head office of the NELFT NHS Foundation Trust as well as the CEME college.

There is no other way to access the estate other than via Marsh Way.

As yet we have no details of the respective incidents but be assured that Havering Cyclists have been in contact with Havering council and will be pressing them to address the lack of safety on this road.

If anybody has details about either incident that they can share please get in touch.

Meanwhile we ask all road users on marsh Way to take great care to avoid any further incident.

Reports of the incidents from local news can be see here and here.
