London Cycling Festival in Havering

Help us celebrate the London Cycling Festival by joining Havering Cyclists on our family-friendly bike ride!

Havering cyclists are running a family friendly, marshalled ride from the Visitor Centre in Hornchurch Country Park along mostly shared-use paths to the Thames and back again (about 9 miles in total). Setting out at 10am, the whole route is on National Cycle Route 136 and there are toilets, refreshments and car parking at the Visitor Centre.  We expect to be back at the Visitors Centre at around 1pm.

Join us early to get a free bike check.  From 9am to 2pm Dr Bike will be opposite the entrance to the Visitor Centre providing free bike checks, cycling advice and minor repairs.  So you can get your bike checked before the ride, when you get back, or – if you’re not joining us for the ride – simply drop in between those times.

  • Start point:  Hornchurch Country Park Visitor Centre, Squadron Approach, Hornchurch, RM12 6DF
  • Start time: 9.00am for Dr Bike, the ride will leave at 10.00am

You can book your free place on the ride here, where you’ll find all the festival tickets.

So get that bike out, pump up the tyres and check that the brakes are working. We’d love to see you and all the family, friends and neighbours at this very special cycling event. Encourage your local council representatives to join us.
