Tell the police about hazardous close passing

Picture credit: The Highway Code – HM Government.

Close passing endangers and frightens cyclists which is why the police run regular operations to stop and warn or fine offenders. Met police officers say they want to hear from cycle users about locations where incidents of close passing occur regularly – these could be roads without cycle lanes and those where speeds are higher than average. This will enable them to target specific locations and help reduce road danger so please do reach out to them by email via the LCC.

The police have requested people to report hazardous close passing locations in order to co-ordinate: please email info@lcc.org.uk and we will pass it on.

Please remember to provide the exact location and the type of incident encountered.

LCC have a blog up about this so please click HERE to read more.
