Pedal4Patients and RideLondon 2020

Regular members and supporters will recall that Havering Cyclists has been supporting RideLondon and Pedal4Patients each year. Due to Covid-19, normal events have not been possible but we can still support both events because this year sees the first virtual My Prudential RideLondon which is taking place next weekend, the 15th and 16th August.

To take part, just follow these four simple steps:

  1. Register: visit myridelondon.co.uk and select your challenge. There are three cycling distances to choose from, or you can invent your own My FreeCycle wheeled challenge over 1km. We have a number of short, quiet routes described here.
  2. Fundraise: click through the RideLondon website to set up your fundraising page. You can select any charity but it would be great if you could join us in supporting “King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity”.
  3. Participate: set your wheels in motion and complete your challenge anywhere, at any time, over the weekend of 15 and 16 of August!
  4. Nominate: encourage your family, friends and work colleagues, to take part and help save the UK’s charities. Spread the word on social media too by using the hashtag #MyPRL when posting about the event. You’ll find more information, ideas and inspiration, as well as advice on staying safe and cycling responsibly on the road, at myridelondon.co.uk.

We hope you will be part of the world’s biggest festival of cycling to support King George & Queen’s Hospitals Charity.
If you prefer, you can ring fence fundraising to your chosen Ward, Speciality, Department, area of most need or dedicate to their COVID-19 fund.
